Ribtech is an integrated manufacturer of Rigid Inflatable Boats (RIBs) and Aluminum Workboats located in Izmir, Turkey.

It is part of the Ribtech division of Marintek Group of companies. Marintek Group has started boat building operations in 1997. Northstar brand and the manufacturing of RIBs have started in 2002 near Istanbul. In 2014 Marintek Group bought the assets of the only other RIB maker in Turkey, Joker and in 2015, moved the combined manufacturing of RIBs to Northstar’s new modern facility in Izmir.

Northstar has the following product ranges:

- Recreational composite hull RIBs between 11ft and 40ft (3.4 – 12m)

- Professional composite hull RIBs upto 42ft (12.5m)

- Aluminum Workboats and RIBs upto 60ft (18m)

Northstar utilizes modern manufacturing techniques of LRTM, RTM and Infusion in its composite manufacturing while adhering to CSM (ex Hypalon) coated fabrics for its tubes. Northstar is able to produce tubes in other materials as well as foam filled tubes on demand.

Aluminum works are carried out by experienced welders and with exclusive use of marine grade aluminum panels.

Offering both a full recreational and a professional line, which require frequent new designs, Northstar employs a very strong engineering and design team with vast experience in the field.
