More than 500 boats were showcased at the ‘Bosphorus Boat Show Boat, Boat Equipment and Accessories Fair’ at Pendik Marina. The total value of the exhibited boats exceeds 10 billion TL.<\/p>

Bosphorus Boat Show Boat, Boat Equipment and Accessories Fair opened its doors at MarinTurk Istanbul City Port Pendik. Organized by ED Fuarc\u0131l\u0131k, in cooperation with YATED Fuarc\u0131l\u0131k, with the permission of TOBB, and under the main sponsorship of GISB\u0130R between 21-29 October, the fair will exhibit luxury boats and yachts as well as the latest technologies used in boat and yacht construction. More than 500 local and foreign brands are represented at the fair, where more than 150 companies participate. The total value of the boats exhibited at the fair exceeds 10 billion TL.<\/p>

Stating that the boat and yacht industry is celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Republic at sea, ED Fuarc\u0131l\u0131k Founding Partner Dilek Soydan said, \u201cThe interest in our fair is increasing every year. We can easily see this growth in both the number of participants and the number of boats exhibited. We want to increase the number of boats at sea, which is over 500 today, to at least 600. Istanbul can catch up with or even surpass Cannes in terms of boat and yacht fairs. “We can make Istanbul, the capital of the world, one of the leading cities of the boat and yacht industry,” he said.<\/p>

Noting that fair visitors had the opportunity to test the boat they liked, ED Fuarc\u0131l\u0131k Founding Partner Emel Y\u0131lmaz said, \u201c2024 model boats were showcased at the Bosphorus Boat Show, which comes after the fairs held in Europe among international fairs. Last year, boats with a total value exceeding 5 billion TL were exhibited, while a transaction volume of nearly 1.5 billion TL was achieved. “This year, with the increase in the number of boats over 15 meters, the total value of the boats exhibited reaches 10 billion TL,” he said.<\/p>

THE MOST EXPENSIVE OF THE FAIR<\/p>

One of the most expensive and largest boats of the fair, the 42-meter sailboat named NB 99 L’ AQUILA 2, produced at the Mengi Yay shipyard in Tuzla, has 1 master cabin and 4 guest cabins. The price of the sailboat, which has 4 crew cabins, is 11.5 million euros (345 million TL).<\/p>

The value of Riva 88′ Folgore, which is 26.92 meters long and 6.31 meters wide, is 240 million TL. There is a double VIP cabin at the front of the boat, a double guest cabin on the port side and two single guest cabins on the starboard side, for a total of 4 guest cabins.<\/p>

The renewed semi-displacement SD series boat is among the highlights of the fair. The 27-meter boat is among the most expensive boats of the fair with a sales price of 8.5 million euros (260 million TL). Prices of pedal boats and scooters start from 3 thousand euros and go up to 18 thousand euros.<\/p>

Arcadia Sherpa, which is 18.67 meters long, has 1 master cabin and 1 guest cabin. The 2.5 million euro (75 million TL) boat has a 50 square meter terrace.<\/p>

The wandering Dutchman<\/p>

The domestically produced tour boat named Tender 27 is among the boats that attracted attention at the fair. The sales price of the tour boat, which is 8.35 meters long, starts from 70 thousand euros (2.1 million TL). The boat, which is a Dutch brand and can reach a speed of 60 kilometers, is produced in Tuzla, Turkey.<\/p>
