With boats ranging in price from 250,000 TL to 650 million TL on display, the fair aims to welcome 40,000 visitors over the course of the event. Featuring the latest model boats, the fair hosts over 200 companies and more than 500 brands. Attracting international interest, the fair has also been included in the international exhibition calendar, making a significant contribution to raising the global profile of the Turkish boat industry.<\/strong><\/p> With<\/span> over<\/span> 200<\/span> companies<\/span>, more<\/span> than<\/span> 500<\/span> brands<\/span> and<\/span> nearly<\/span> 350<\/span> boats<\/span>, the<\/span> Bosphorus<\/span> Boat<\/span> Show<\/span> \u2013 Boat<\/span>, Boat<\/span> Equipment<\/span> and<\/span> Accessories<\/span> Fair<\/span> has<\/span> opened<\/span> its<\/span> doors<\/span>. The<\/span> opening<\/span> ceremony<\/span> was<\/span> attended<\/span> by<\/span> Durmu\u015f<\/span> \u00dcn\u00fcvar<\/span>, Deputy<\/span> Minister<\/span> of<\/span> Transport<\/span> and<\/span> Infrastructure<\/span>; Tamer<\/span> K\u0131ran<\/span>, Chairman<\/span> of<\/span> the<\/span> Board<\/span> of<\/span> the<\/span> Istanbul<\/span> Chamber<\/span> of<\/span> Shipping<\/span> (\u0130MEAK<\/span>);<\/span> Murat Bekiro\u011flu, Chairman of the Board of the Yacht and Boat Industry Association (YATED), Murat K\u0131ran, Chairman of the Board of the Turkish Shipbuilders\u2019 Association (G\u0130SB\u0130R), Dilek Soydan, Founding Partner of ED Fuarc\u0131l\u0131k, Emel Y\u0131lmaz, Founding Partner of ED Fuarc\u0131l\u0131k, and numerous other guests.<\/span> The fair, which opened its doors on 25 October, will welcome visitors until 2 November 2025.<\/span><\/span><\/p> Organised by ED Fuarc\u0131l\u0131k with the support of the Yacht and Boat Industry Association (YATED) and in collaboration with YATED Fuarc\u0131l\u0131k, under the main sponsorship of the Turkish Shipbuilders\u2019 Association (G\u0130SB\u0130R) and with the permission of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey, the exhibition\u2014held on the water\u2014is expected to attract over 40,000 visitors.<\/span><\/span> Bringing together leading brands and the latest technologies in the sector with boat enthusiasts, the fair showcased 2025 and 2026 model boats, ambitious models from Turkey\u2019s leading shipyards, and new models from world-renowned yacht brands for the enjoyment of boat lovers.<\/span> With<\/span> boats<\/span> to<\/span> suit<\/span> every<\/span> budget<\/span> on<\/span> display<\/span>, the<\/span> fair<\/span> features<\/span> nearly<\/span> 350<\/span> vessels<\/span> ranging<\/span> in<\/span> price<\/span> from<\/span> 250,000<\/span> TL<\/span> to<\/span> 650<\/span> million<\/span> TL<\/span>. The<\/span> event<\/span> showcases<\/span> boats<\/span> ranging<\/span> from<\/span> 3<\/span> metres<\/span> to<\/span> 33<\/span> metres<\/span> in<\/span> length<\/span>; whilst<\/span> 200<\/span> boats<\/span> are<\/span> on<\/span> display<\/span> on<\/span> the<\/span> water<\/span>, nearly<\/span> 150<\/span> are<\/span> presented<\/span> on<\/span> land<\/span> for<\/span> visitors<\/span> to<\/span> view<\/span>.<\/span><\/p> WORK ON THE CONNECTION CAPACITY IS ONGOING<\/strong><\/p> Speaking at the opening of the exhibition, Durmu\u015f \u00dcn\u00fcvar, Deputy Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, said: \u201cToday, we have a competitive sector. There is a broad value chain spanning shipbuilding, marinas, maintenance and repair, exports, port operations and fishing. All of these make a significant contribution to our country\u2019s development.<\/span> We<\/span> are<\/span> a<\/span> country<\/span> that<\/span> shapes<\/span> the<\/span> maritime<\/span> sector<\/span>. The<\/span> presence<\/span> of<\/span> our<\/span> coastlines<\/span>, which<\/span> possess<\/span> rich<\/span> potential<\/span>, also<\/span> presents<\/span> a<\/span> major<\/span> opportunity<\/span> in<\/span> terms<\/span> of<\/span> tourism<\/span>. The<\/span> international<\/span> recognition<\/span> of<\/span> our<\/span> yacht<\/span> manufacturers<\/span> has<\/span> increased<\/span>.<\/span><\/span> In terms of total length of orders, we have moved into second place after Italy. Our sector produces high-quality, value-added goods. Our yacht and boat sector is also a major industry alongside its ancillary industries. Our yacht and boat industry is focused on innovation and progress. Significant developments are taking place in many areas. We have also become an important repair and maintenance hub,\u201d he said.<\/span> Emphasising that work is continuing on mooring facilities, \u00dcn\u00fcvar added, \u201cWe are also supporting new marina investments to increase mooring capacity. We have two projects in \u0130zmir and Fethiye. Furthermore, we are working on projects that will be implemented without excessive concrete development, where basic maritime services can be accessed, not just marinas.\u201d<\/span><\/p> WE ARE CONFIDENT THAT WE WILL ACHIEVE POSITIVE RESULTS<\/strong><\/p> Highlighting<\/span> the<\/span> significant<\/span> successes<\/span> achieved<\/span> by<\/span> the<\/span> ship<\/span> and<\/span> yacht<\/span> building<\/span> sector<\/span> in<\/span> recent<\/span> years<\/span>, Tamer<\/span> K\u0131ran<\/span>, President<\/span> of<\/span> the<\/span> Istanbul<\/span> Chamber<\/span> of<\/span> Shipping<\/span> (DTO<\/span>), continued<\/span>: \u201cWhilst<\/span> demand<\/span> has<\/span> been<\/span> rising<\/span> recently<\/span> as<\/span> part<\/span> of<\/span> the<\/span> green<\/span> transition<\/span>, there<\/span> are<\/span> serious<\/span> issues<\/span> regarding<\/span> rising<\/span> costs<\/span> and<\/span> access<\/span> to<\/span> finance<\/span>.
