As part of \u201818 May International Women in Maritime Day\u2019, the Association of Women Captains, Engineers and Seafarers (KGKMDD)\u2014which operates with the aim of increasing the visibility of women in Turkey\u2019s maritime sector, strengthening professional solidarity and sharing the success stories of women seafarers with a wider audience\u2014organised an event on 14 May in which our Association also participated;<\/span> panels<\/span> were<\/span> held<\/span> with<\/span> the<\/span> participation<\/span> of<\/span> sector<\/span> representatives<\/span>, employees<\/span> and<\/span> academics<\/span>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>

At<\/span> the<\/span> event<\/span>, which<\/span> our<\/span> Association<\/span> supported<\/span> as<\/span> a<\/span> \u201cSilver<\/span> Sponsor<\/span>\u201d, a<\/span> plaque<\/span> was<\/span> presented<\/span> to<\/span> our<\/span> Association<\/span> Director<\/span>, Mr<\/span> Kadir<\/span> Karakaya<\/span>, by<\/span> the<\/span> KGKMDD<\/span> in<\/span> recognition<\/span> of<\/span> our<\/span> contributions<\/span>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>
