WHAT IS ICOMIA?

The International Council of Shipping Industry Associations – ICOMIA – is a not-for-profit membership organization that brings together a wide range of national shipping industry associations into one global organization and represents them internationally as a strong, unified voice when dealing with issues challenging the industry. ICOMIA has been an active advocate for the international marine industry since 1966, focusing on policies and guidance to ensure the promotion, protection and growth of the industry, while working with authorities, regulatory bodies and relevant organizations to facilitate and encourage the growth of the recreational marine industry worldwide. ICOMIA membership gives national associations the ability to discuss, evaluate and review all industry-related issues. These topics can range from regulatory updates to new products and services, from research and innovation to conferences, committees and networking opportunities.
