July 1 Maritime and Cabotage Day Celebrated

At the July 1 Maritime and Cabotage Day event organized for the 4th time this year by the Yacht and Boat Industry Association; Elderly people and children who live in Istanbul and have not seen the sea or the Bosphorus yet came together. 30 children between the ages of 9-12 from Küçükyalı Children’s Homes Site and 47 nursing home residents from Maltepe Nursing Home had lunch while enjoying the unique view of the Bosphorus during the four-hour boat trip. In the event where the elderly and children mingle with each other; A wreath was laid in the water to commemorate our martyrs. YATED Director Kadir Karakaya said, “We are very happy to celebrate such an important day with our children and nursing home residents. “We will continue our work to spread the love of the sea in our country,” he said.
